Eastern Pretech's Core Competence

Eastern Pretech Group (EP Group) is one of the region's largest industry players in precast concrete and dry-mix plaster & mortar products.

As a key business unit and wholly-owned subsidiary of SGX-listed industrial conglomerate NSL Ltd (formerly known as NATSTEEL Ltd), EP Group's core competence is in:

- Engineering Design and Manufacturing of Precast Concrete components; and

- Formulation and Manufacturing of drymix Plaster and Mortar products

With operations spanning Asia and Middle East, EP Group has 9 strategic manufacturing facilities in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, UAE and Europe.

In Asia and Middle East, our market leadership positions us as value-added construction products partner in the industrial and infrastructural sectors.

In Europe, our marine and land-based prefabricated bathroom and fire door components business has strong niche presence in Finland, Norway and Russia.

OUR KEY BUSINESSES

Precast Concrete Components

Since 1982, EP Group's Singapore operations have been spearheading the use of advanced precast concrete construction technology in collaboration with the public and private sectors. Core products include customised precast prestressed hollow-core slab, reinforced concrete column, beam, walls and other infrastructure precast concrete components such as bridge beams, concrete sleepers and tunnel segments.

The Group's major precast manufacturing facilities are in Singapore , Malaysia and UAE. Total system-wide manufacturing capability is 235,000m³ pa (precast concrete elements).

The strength of the Group lies in its competent in-house Engineering design team with capabilities to assist and advise owners, consultants, architects, engineers and builders in the design of building projects using hollow-core floor system, or other precast concrete elements.

With the distinct reputation for successfully completing time-sensitive projects on a consistent quality basis, EP Group's Singapore operations has supplied in excess of 3.0 million m² of hollow-core slabs and 750,000 m³ of various types of concrete components to more than 1,200 projects in Singapore.

E·Mix Plasters & Mortars

EP Group also manufactures and markets a wide range of high-tech factory premixed finishing products under the brand name E·Mix. The E·Mix name has gained wide acceptance and recognition in the market for its superior and consistent quality products.

The E·Mix range of products includes cementitious based plasters such as Easi Render/ Easi Plaster and other specialty products including tile adhesives, tile grouts, non-shrink grouts and self levelling screeds.

The Group's major E·Mix manufacturing facilities are in Singapore , Hong Kong , Malaysia and Guangzhou ( China ). Total system-wide manufacturing capacity for E·Mix Plasters & Mortars is about 390,000mt pa. The Group has successfully supplied to hundreds of prestigious projects including Hotels, Residential, Institutional and Industrial buildings.

Parma Unit Bathroom, Ship Cabin & Marine Fire Door

EP Group also manufactures ready-to-install Parma Unit Bathroom. Parma Unit Bathrooms are customised prefabricated bathroom with all necessary sanitary wares, plumbings & electricals works and fixtures pre-installed before delivery to site.

We have major manufacturing facilities for Parma unit bathrooms located in Singapore , Malaysia and Finland .

In Finland , our Parma Unit Bathroom business is marketed under Oy Parmarine Ltd, one of the leaders in this specialised field with full design and manufacturing facilities in Forssa and Leppavirta. Besides Parma Unit Bathrooms, ship cabins as well as customised ParMaster fire doors for the marine industry are also marketed, designed and fabricated by Oy Parmarine Ltd.

EP Group also markets its own formulation of dry-mix plaster and mortar business under its E · MIX brand. The business has strong brand equity and is recognised and accepted by the market as a premium product given the high quality finishes that it produces.

Quality control capabilities with fully equipped laboratories have been set up at each manufacturing facility. EP Group prides itself as the industry leader with bar-coded precast concrete components ensuring tracking of its products throughout the installation process.

Innovative hollow-core precast flooring system able to fast-track construction of industrial buildings

EP Group's key differentiating factor is its expertise in the design and manufacture of hollow core slabs. These are industry proven and widely used for precast concrete flooring systems as they are able to provide engineers and architects with significant benefits that include maximum strength with minimum weight and versatility in span and depth ratio, which lead to a more cost-effective construction approach.

In Malaysia and Singapore, EP Group is the only key player in the industry that is fully equipped with the infrastructure, equipment, technical know-how and experience to manufacture these products, especially for time-sensitive and large scale projects.
